BumpKin Pie: Calendar

It was indeed a night of (almost) a thousand classic country songs!  We had some great folks on stage, including J.P McDermott, Dulcie Taylor, Jelly Roll Mortals, Jack Bond, T. Edwin Doss, Dave McKittrick & Friends, and, of course, BumpKin Pie. Dave Van Allen of Last Train Home was up there all night playing some sweet pedal steel. Everyone was just fine as frog's hair!

What a marvelous and successful show! All the performers were amazing. We were honored to be hosting and organizing this on behalf of Jeff Campbell and Hungry For Music. Quite a few folks brought musical instruments to donate, and there was a bit of cash raised too. Thanks to all!

A crisp, lovely morning in Haymarket. We had a fun time and then watched the parade march by. Americana itself!

HUM (Helping Underinsured Musicians) Presented a Benefit Concert at Jammin’ Java on February 6 for local musician, Suzanne Ives, with Dulcie Taylor, Dennis Jay, Roger Henderson, David Kitchen, Scott McKnight, Janet & Julia of One Horse Town, Jay Jenc, NovaZanz and BumpKin Pie. We are excited to say the event was a rousing success. All the performances were wonderful and we managed to raise some significant funds. Many thanks to all who attended. We may post some photos in the future.

Suzanne, who with her husband Michael Dunkley performs as BumpKin Pie, has been fighting the symptoms of multiple sclerosis, which impacts her walking, balance, and vision. Unfortunately, without medical insurance, she is unable to obtain the expensive medications that can help her.

This benefit is to help Suzanne and to raise awareness of the similar plights of many other talented musicians who cannot pay for all the health care they need.
